We are seeking enthusiastic Order Pickers to join our logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently assembled. Your primary responsibilities will include locating specified items within the warehouse, using order lists or electronic scanning devices, and preparing them for packing and shipping. This role requires a keen eye for detail, speed, and accuracy to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. You will navigate our warehouse facility, which involves significant walking and standing. The ability to handle lifting (up to 50 lbs) is also essential for moving products. We are committed to maintaining a safe work environment, so adherence to all safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists.
- Use scanning devices to track inventory movements.
- Prepare picked items for packing and shipping.
- Maintain an organized and clean picking area.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Meet productivity targets for order fulfillment.
- Communicate any stock discrepancies or issues.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics is beneficial.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and wear PPE.
