We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk for our Cincinnati, Ohio facility. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. Your responsibilities will include unloading delivery trucks, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders and packing slips, inspecting items for damage, and accurately documenting all received materials. This position is fundamental to our inventory management and overall logistics operations. Maintaining a safe and organized receiving area, utilizing appropriate PPE , and strictly adhering to all safety procedures are critical. This role involves regular Lifting and the operation of material handling equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect products for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
- Accurately document all incoming inventory using the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Stage received goods for put-away or distribution.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Support efficient warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Handle significant Lifting and physical tasks associated with receiving.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with inventory control and logistics principles.
- Proficiency with WMS and basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE .
