We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious individuals to manage the movement of materials within our state-of-the-art warehouse. Your primary responsibility will be operating forklifts to load, unload, move, stack, and retrieve inventory. This role is critical to the efficiency of our operations and requires precision, efficiency, and a strong adherence to safety protocols, including the use of appropriate PPE. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of safe forklift operation and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse logistics. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Perform daily pre-operational inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Load and unload trailers and containers accurately and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company policies.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Coordinate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient logistics.
- Adhere to weight limits and operational guidelines to prevent accidents and damage.
- Must be able to perform general material handling tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification/license required.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and forklift best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE and adhering to all safety protocols.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory control is a plus.
