We are hiring an Order Picker for our facility in St. Louis, Missouri! This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast-paced logistics environment. As an Order Picker, your primary responsibility will be to accurately retrieve products from warehouse shelves according to customer orders. You will utilize various tools, such as RF scanners or pick sheets, to ensure precision and efficiency in your work. This role is fundamental to our supply chain operations, guaranteeing that orders are prepared correctly for dispatch. Our company places a high emphasis on safety; all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided, and comprehensive safety training will be given. This position requires regular physical activity, including lifting and maneuvering products. Responsibilities:
- Retrieve specific items from inventory locations as indicated by order forms or scanner devices.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details to prevent shipping errors.
- Organize and prepare picked items for the packing and shipping process.
- Keep the picking area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Use material handling equipment like pallet jacks to transport goods as needed.
- Communicate any stock shortages or quality issues to the warehouse supervisor.
- Meet or exceed picking speed and accuracy performance standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Must be able to handle moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs) throughout the shift.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Previous experience in warehousing or order picking is a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of safety in a logistics setting.
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
