We are looking for an efficient Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Washington, D.C. The Order Picker is responsible for accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is fundamental to our **logistics** operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. A strong emphasis on **safety** and accuracy is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order sheets or pick lists.
- Use RF scanning devices to track picked items and update **inventory** status.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping area.
- Ensure picked items match the order specifications to minimize errors.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers safely and efficiently (training available).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all **safety** protocols.
- Report any damaged products or discrepancies to a supervisor immediately.
- Wear appropriate **PPE** at all times, including **safety** shoes and any required gear.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, contributing to overall **logistics**.
- Participate in **inventory** counts and audits as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse picking role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including **Lifting** up to 40 pounds, standing, walking, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking items.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order information.
- Familiarity with warehouse **safety** procedures and **PPE** requirements.
- Basic understanding of **logistics** and warehouse flow.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
