Entuitive is looking for an Intermediate Engineer to primarily focus on structural design and evaluation of bridges. This role will include aspects of project delivery, production of structural documents, and construction administration. You will ensure all work is conducted in full support of our Vision, Mission, Values and One Company culture.

What will you do?

  • Analysis and detailed design of new bridges, bridge rehabilitations and evaluations, culverts and retaining walls.
  • Conduct and oversee bridge inspections, prepare condition assessment reports, and develop rehabilitation or strengthening strategies.
  • Preparation of structural reports
  • Supervision of bridge CAD technicians for production of drawings and project deliverables
  • Mentor other junior and intermediate team members
  • Review of construction shop drawings
  • Ability to oversee and manage several large-scale bridge projects
  • Preliminary and detailed design of new bridges, culverts and retaining walls, and rehabilitation of existing structures
  • Conduct inspections of existing bridges, culverts and retaining walls and prepare reports
  • Prepare technical construction specifications
  • Liaise with contractors and owners during design and construction

Requirements

What do you need to succeed?

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil/Structural engineering from an accredited university
  • Post-graduate degree would be an asset
  • 5+ years of experience in bridge design, rehabilitation, and/or construction engineering.
  • Conversant with CHBDC (CAN-S6), MTO Structural Manual and MTO practices and policies
  • Registered or eligible for Professional Engineering designation
  • Strong background in review and design of concrete and steel bridges
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., CSiBridge, SAP2000, Midas Civil) and AutoCAD
  • Be able to facilitate inter-discipline coordination and cooperation
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplined team environment
  • Must demonstrate a collaborative attitude in working with members of the Team
  • Knowledge and interest related to embodied carbon is considered an asset

Compensation, Benefits, & Total Rewards

  • Competitive base salary: $73,000 - $100,000 (aligned with experience, qualifications, and education)
