Summary
Join our team as a Network Specialist based in Richmond BC. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our clients' network systems, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity that supports their growth and success.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot hardware (desktop/server) and liaise with vendors
  • Knowledge of configuring network switches, firewalls and routers
  • Install and maintain Windows Active Directory infrastructure
  • Administer Linux and Mac environments
  • Provide ongoing support to application server environments including Microsoft Dynamics and SharePoint, Azure
  • Knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching devices, Meraki and Ubiquiti Wireless Technologies, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Ubiquiti or Cisco Firewall Appliances, Load Balancers, SD-WAN, VOIP Telephony, Network performance and monitoring tools.
  • Cyber Security / Network Security / Policy maintenance
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Generate regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and compliance status.
  • Contribute to the development of network-related policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Provide managed services support including patching, asset management, licensing and monitoring emails and operational alerts
  • Perform ticketing and time entry in centralized invoicing systems
  • Provide documentation and standardization of work, procedures and policies
  • Deliver projects end to end, including effective communication with customers

Understand local area networking and setting up and configuring end user devices

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory
  • Experience with setting up and maintaining Linux environments
  • Experience 3+ years working in network, desktop and server support

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related Information Technology Discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Current certification in at least two of the following: CCAA, CCEA, CCEE, CCIA, MSCE CCNP/CCIE, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Network Engineer Associate and/or VCP a definite asset

Additional Requirements·

  • Must be legally allowed to work in Canada.
  • Having the ability to work independently without needing constant supervision
  • Availability to work after hours and – some weekend work required
  • No remote work — must work on-site in Richmond office daily
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed with access to company vehicle
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (mandatory).
  • 2+ years of Deskside Support Technician or similar experience.
  • Ability to follow processes and manage tickets professionally.
  • Strong customer service, relationship-building, and time management abilities.
  • Solid problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in after-hours support on-call rotations as required.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
