We are looking for a kitchen opener // breakfast sandwich cook. A hard working, dependable, cook that can work in a fast paced sometimes hectic small take-a-way cafe.
Duties
Opening and setting up the kitchen every Saturday and Sunday morning
Baking off prepared scones
- Prepare and cook breakfast sandwiches according to recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
In this role you will be responsible for opening the kitchen, preparing breakfast sandwiches for our customers, maintain a clean organized work space thru the duration of your shift. You will be responsible for the kitchen closing duties at the end of the shift.

Saturday shift - 6:15am - Kitchen service ends at 2pm, then cleaning
Sunday shift - 9:15am - Kitchen service ends at 2pm, then cleaning
Plus one or two additional shifts per week as required. Barista cross training is also available to those interested.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 24 per week
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- Cooking: 1 year (required)
Language:
- English (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (required)
