Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly 3 rd Shift Operation

About the Role
The Operator II Milling position will work with Superintendents and 2 nd Miller and back up the Operator I Miller.
What You'll Do

• Completion of duties as assigned by Superintendents / 2 nd Miller / Relief Miller.
• Relief of Mill Operator 1 for vacation, sickness or as otherwise required.
• Working Safely – Applying all training, SOP use, SWP's, recognizing hazards.
• Must have expert knowledge on plant GMP and Food Safety Policies.
• Communication with other departments – while promoting teamwork.
• Capable of multi-tasking.
• Must have mechanical aptitude & mathematical skills.
• Able to work independently of others.
• Completing all paperwork legibly and correctly - 1st time.
• Completing tasks accurately within required time frames.
• Following instructions the first time with accuracy in task execution.
• Finding data as necessary to correctly complete duties.
• Problem solving / decision making / troubleshooting skills.
• Duties as may be assigned – including routine housekeeping.
• Duties may be physically demanding – heavy lifting & repetitive motion.
• 48 hour workweek will be utilized on weekends to fulfill customer orders or to perform PM requirements.

• A high degree of problem solving, decision making and troubleshooting.
• High quality work standards and ability to work independently.
• The candidate must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within industrial maintenance
• Good communication skills, and able to work under time constraints
• Must be adaptable, dependable and a self-starter
• The candidate shall have good troubleshooting skills with good attention to detail
• The person shall possess a demonstrated strong work ethic
• Applicant must have regular, punctual attendance
• Candidate must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in achieving results

Education and Experience

• Must have the capability to advance to the Operator I job classification within the line of progression as per the collective agreement – Section 6.06

• Regular, reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed
