St. John Ambulance Ontario is offering exciting opportunities for qualified and ambitious individuals to take the role of Business Development Representative. This opportunity is available in the following regions:
- Southwestern Ontario (London, Chatham, Windsor)
- Eastern Ontario (Kingston. Belleville, Cornwall, Renfrew)
- Central East (Pickering, Ajax, Oshawa, Bowmanville, Cobourg)
- Peel-Dufferin (Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon, Orangeville)
The successful candidates will contribute to St. John's success by achieving sales and profit objectives by attracting and acquiring new business and by leveraging strategic relationships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Identifies clients, presents sales proposals, and closes training and product sales to generate new business for the region
• Builds and maintains key relationships with significant clients of the region
• Assists in the development of sales and marketing materials and presentations to support training and product sales in the
region's catchment area
• Understands and can clearly articulate features for all SJA services and products to help potential clients meet workplace
requirements
• Ensures other staff members understand the sales-process, so they are more effective when interacting with customers
• Remains current with competitors' products and services as well as legislative changes and other business-related aspects that
may have an impact on the sales function and / or other related regional activities
• Attends networking / sales events including but not limited to Chamber of Commerce, Trade shows, Business after hours
• Leverage social media platforms to build St. John Ambulance within the region to generate training and product sales
• Liaises with the Provincial Director of Business Development regularly for support on various sales and marketing activities,
product knowledge and support, as well as sharing of best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and or/ Regional Manager
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE:
• Post-secondary degree or diploma or equivalent work experience in a relevant area
• Successful experience in sales, marketing and customer service
• Knowledge of the prospective region's community programs related to health and safety
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer literate with familiarity and ease with various computer applications, including Internet and Email and social media, CRM
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to travel within the region as required
