Overview
We are seeking a driven, outgoing Commission-Based Sales Representative to generate new business for our commercial cleaning and carpet cleaning services. This is a 100% commission role—no hourly wage or salary. The successful candidate will focus on prospecting, pitching, and closing contracts with businesses. Our company handles the operations: we provide the supplies, staffing, equipment, and complete all cleaning work. Your job is to bring in signed contracts and booked services.
Compensation: 40% commission on every contract/service you close (paid based on agreed terms in the commission agreement).
Duties
- Identify and pursue new leads for commercial cleaning and carpet cleaning services (cold calling, walk-ins, networking, referrals, online outreach)
- Book and attend meetings with decision-makers (property managers, office managers, facility managers, business owners)
- Present service options, explain value, and overcome objections professionally
- Prepare and submit quotes/proposals (using company templates/pricing guidelines)
- Negotiate within approved pricing and close deals with signed agreements
- Maintain an organized sales pipeline and track all activities (calls, emails, meetings, follow-ups)
- Follow up consistently with prospects to move opportunities to close
- Coordinate handoff of closed contracts to operations (scope, frequency, special notes, start dates)
- Represent the company professionally in-person, by phone, and by email
- Work toward weekly/monthly sales targets and provide simple activity reports
Skills
- Strong communication and persuasion skills (in-person and phone)
- Confidence with cold outreach and building relationships from scratch
- Proven ability to close deals and handle objections
- Professional email writing, quoting, and follow-up habits
- Organized and self-motivated (able to work independently without daily supervision)
- Basic understanding of B2B sales, service contracts, and recurring revenue
- Comfortable using a CRM or tracking system (or willing to learn)
- Reliable transportation and ability to visit businesses locally
- Integrity and professionalism when representing pricing, timelines, and service expectations
- Experience selling services (janitorial, facility services, carpet cleaning, maintenance, etc.) is an asset
