Barista/Counter Server

Giovane Caffe on 418 W Georgia St in Vancouver is looking for a Counter Server/Barista to join the team The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee and coffee culture and who has flexible availabilities.

The purpose of this position is to produce delicious hot & cold beverages, prepare food orders and take customer payment. A passion for coffee and willingness to learn will be essential to the success of this position. Your focus will include assisting with food assembly and beverage orders, preparing espresso-based coffee drinks, milk texturing and latte art.

What we expect from you:

• 1+ year experience of barista experience preferred
• Ability to professionally communicate, prepare and serve our menu offerings
• Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment
• Provide a friendly guest experience
• You are organized, proactive, motivated, and always contributing to team performance
• Conduct all appropriate cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting of the equipment as and when needed.
• Experience with Italian café culture an asset
• Experience with Auphan POS an asset
• Serving it Right Certificate is required
• Foodsafe Level 1 is preferred
