Barista/Cashier

Position: Barista / Specialty Drink Maker

Type: Part-time / Full-time

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled and creative Barista to prepare mochi-inspired drinks—including chewy, creamy, and visually striking beverages. This role goes beyond traditional coffee: you'll work with textured toppings, specialty syrups, foams, and modern drink techniques while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Drink Preparation

• Prepare mochi-style beverages (milk teas, specialty lattes, iced drinks, foam-topped drinks, chewy inclusions, etc.)
• Execute drink recipes with consistency, accuracy, and speed
• Properly cook, store, and handle mochi pearls / chewy toppings
• Customize drinks based on customer preferences
• Maintain visual standards (presentation, layering, garnish)

Coffee & Espresso (if applicable)

• Pull quality espresso shots
• Steam milk correctly for hot and iced drinks
• Prepare basic coffee menu items when required

Customer Experience

• Greet customers warmly and explain drink concepts confidently
• Recommend drinks and upsell add-ons (extra toppings, premium flavors)
• Handle POS transactions efficiently
• Maintain a positive, energetic front-of-house presence

Cleanliness & Organization

• Keep bar, equipment, and prep areas clean and organized
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards
• Complete opening and closing checklists
• Monitor stock levels and prep ingredients as needed

What We're Looking For

• Barista or bubble tea experience preferred (but not required)
• Comfortable working with recipes, textures, and precise measurements
• Fast learner with strong attention to detail
• Able to handle high-volume service
• Friendly, reliable, and team-oriented
• Passion for modern drinks, dessert culture, and café trends

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Bubble tea / milk tea experience
• Experience with chewy toppings (mochi, tapioca, jelly)
• Latte art or drink presentation skills
• Social media or content creation interest (drink videos, reels)
