Key ResponsibilitiesDispensing & Prescription Processing

  • Receive, enter, and process prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
  • Prepare, label, and package medications accurately according to prescription orders
  • Perform final technical checks prior to pharmacist clinical verification
  • Maintain accurate patient profiles and medication records

Non-Sterile Compounding (Level C)

  • Prepare non-sterile compounded medications (e.g., capsules, creams, ointments, oral liquids, suspensions) in a Level C–approved compounding room
  • Follow SCPP, NAPRA, and internal SOPs for compounding practices
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients sourced from approved suppliers (e.g., Medisca)
  • Complete compounding worksheets, batch records, and beyond-use date documentation
  • Perform and document equipment cleaning, calibration, and room maintenance

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all compounding and dispensing activities comply with SCPP standards, NAPRA guidelines, and pharmacy policies
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain proper storage, labeling, and handling of APIs and compounded products
  • Assist in maintaining temperature logs, cleaning logs, and compounding documentation

Inventory & Workflow Management

  • Manage inventory of drugs, APIs, compounding supplies, and packaging materials
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
  • Monitor expiry dates and ensure appropriate storage conditions
  • Support efficient pharmacy workflow and workload prioritization

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with pharmacists to support clinical and operational activities
  • Communicate professionally with patients, prescribers, and clinic staff as required
  • Assist in responding to prescription clarifications and refill requests under pharmacist direction

Additional Duties

  • Support compliance packaging (blister packs) when required
  • Assist with pharmacy delivery coordination
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.15-$39.09 per hour

  • pharmacy: 1 year (preferred)
