Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Assistant to support our supply chain and warehouse operations. This role is vital in ensuring efficient transportation, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse distribution, procurement, and logistics systems, contributing to process improvements and overall supply chain effectiveness. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with exposure to various logistics functions including freight management, demand planning, and materials sourcing.
Duties
- Assist with warehouse distribution activities including order picking, shipping & receiving, and packaging
- Support procurement processes by sourcing materials and managing vendor relationships
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems, AS400, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track shipments and inventory levels
- Coordinate freight logistics and manage 3PL providers to optimize delivery schedules
- Analyze data related to supply chain performance, pricing strategies, and demand planning to identify areas for process improvement
- Maintain accurate records of shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions using CMMS and other warehouse management tools
- Support order fulfillment activities for e-commerce platforms and traditional sales channels
- Assist in materials management tasks including sourcing, procurement, and inventory replenishment
- Operate forklifts when necessary for materials handling within the warehouse environment
Skills
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, and materials management
- Experience with procurement, sourcing, and demand planning processes
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms; familiarity with Warehouse Management System (WMS) software
- Data analysis skills for evaluating supply chain metrics and process improvements
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), freight logistics, and 3PL coordination
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies within supply chain operations
- Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts safely (certification preferred)
- Experience with e-commerce logistics, packaging procedures, and order fulfillment workflows
- Understanding of pricing strategies within supply chain management
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in shipping & receiving documentation

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
