We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all dishes are prepared on time and to specification.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain proper food handling practices at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during peak service times.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety procedures.
- Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or specials.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and cooking methods.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- A passion for cooking and creating high-quality meals that delight customers.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
