Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager / Floor Supervisor to assist in daily operations of our bar and restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food and beverage service, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. The Bar Manager will play a key role in driving sales, ensuring operational efficiency, and upholding the highest standards of hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Working bar shifts and/or floor supervision as needed...primarily evenings and weekends
• Managing liquor inventories and weekly ordering
• Maintaining overall cleanliness of the facility with specific emphasis on the bar
• Managerdrink menus and specialty cocktail and mocktail menus
• Develop relationships with liquor reps
• Lead, train, and develop team members
• Ensure compliance with liquor safety regulations.
• Enforce responsible alcohol service policies and monitor guest interactions to promote a safe environment.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Uphold hospitality standards by creating an inviting atmosphere for guests and staff alike.

Skills

• Proven experience in bar management / bartending in similar high volume establishments
• Strong background in drink knowledge and recipe development
• Familiarity with POS system Touchbistro is an asset; cash handling experience is essential.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with regulars
• Comfortable handing difficult customers to ensure the safety and security of the venue and its patrons and staff. Experience with bar security policies and best practices is an asset.
• Although you do not require a vehicle, holding a valid BC Drivers License is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
