Jarvis Design Firm is looking for an Intermediate Licensed Architect to join our team

What you will do:

  • Lead in the production of creative, functional and innovative designs for New and Existing Building Project, consulting with clients and collaborating with management on preparation of project proposals
  • Provide support to the Principal on all phases of building design projects as required, and assist in growing this sector
  • Complete designs and working drawings utilizing Revit Software when required
  • Meet with clients to discuss potential new work and/or review project requirements
  • Preparation of design and contract documents, document checking, manage construction review and contract administration throughout the duration of a project
  • Communicate with construction team to provide information and solve problems
  • Lead and review work of Junior and/or Intern Architect as required

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must possess at least the following:

  • University Degree in Architecture.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of Architectural design experience
  • Must be a Licensed Architect with the OAA and/or other Provinces.
  • Beginner to Intermediate skill level utilizing Revit Software is an asset
  • Ability to work on technical and financial proposals and seek for new client and potential work.
  • LEED certification and project experience is a strong asset
  • Demonstrated strong creativity in design
  • Technical knowledge of building construction and the Ontario Building Code
  • Ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills

Experience:

  • Current knowledge of industry trends, technology, codes, and regulations.
  • The ability to diagram designs both manually and with computer-aided drafting.
  • Strong analytical, critical, and problem-solving skills.

Skills:

· Software proficiency: MS Office, Revit skill and experience required.

· Excellent verbal and written communication (English)

· Excellent time management skills

· Salary is to be determined based on each candidate's experience.

Schedule:

· Monday to Friday

· Flexible Hours hrs/week)

· Part-Time or Full-Time - Remote/Work from Home Option

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
