Python Developer

Type:
Part-time / Contract
Compensation:
$30–$50/hour

Remote
Commitment:
10–20 hours/week
Role Responsibilities

• Contribute to open-source Python repositories used by leading AI and data teams.
• Design, implement, and optimize backend systems in Python for scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate asynchronously with global contributors using GitHub workflows (issues, PRs, code review).
• Ensure code quality with automated testing and documentation.
• Drive best practices for modularity, type safety, and performance.

Qualifications
Must-Have

• Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in Python backend development.
• Active and regular contributor to open-source repositories (verified via GitHub).
• Strong understanding of software design principles and backend architecture.
• Familiarity with modern development tools (pytest, black, flake8, Docker, GitHub Actions).
• Excellent written communication and ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
