Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized tutoring sessions tailored to each student's needs
- Support students with Math in French, specifically Grades 7-9
- Create and adapt lesson plans to support academic goals
- Provide constructive feedback and track progress
- Communicate with families to schedule regular weekly sessions
- Write brief lesson reports after each session
- Commit to at least a 6-month tutoring assignment
- Seek guidance and collaborate with our team when challenges arise
Qualifications
- Located in or near Calgary – specific postal codes: T2L, T2K, T2M, T2E, T3N, T3J, T1Y, T2A, T2B, T2G
- Fluency in French (bi-lingual) with the ability to teach Math in French - at least junior high level required
- University/college students, graduates, or professionals welcome
- Previous tutoring/teaching experience an asset
- Strong knowledge in your subject(s) of expertise
- Ability to build rapport and adapt to different learning styles
- Excellent communication (English & French) and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation to student homes
- Comfortable with technology—computer, internet, smartphone required
- Must pass (or provide) a current background check
Compensation & Schedule
- $22–$24 per hour, based on experience and assignment
- Part-time, flexible hours (typically weekdays 3–9 PM; some weekends)
- Students' homes or potentially online
