Job Summary
Perla Oyster Bar & Grill is seeking dedicated and experienced Pantry Chefs & Line Cooks to join our culinary team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food items, ensuring efficient food service, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. Duties
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for various menu items, focusing on pantry stations.
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients for efficient service.
- Cook and assemble meals according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Serve food to customers in a timely and professional manner, maintaining excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the pantry area, including sanitizing surfaces and proper storage of ingredients.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy service periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of pantry supplies and communicate needs for restocking.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or food industry setting is advantageous.
- Strong serving skills with a focus on presentation and customer satisfaction.
- Kitchen experience involving meal preparation, food safety practices, and sanitation protocols is highly desirable.
