Position Summary   

Be a part of the excitement, be a part of the team that brings people to the iconic Calgary Stampede Rodeo & Evening Show Box office supervisor is a member of the Consumer Sales and Sponsorship team, with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, they ensure exceptional customer service, maximize revenue, and troubleshoot technical issues. The Supervisor fosters a collaborative environment, building a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, customer-oriented sales team to service both internal and external customers.

This is a seasonal position from March - August 2026.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform daily event ticket sales, including providing customers with information on ticket sales and Park events. Maintain and monitor all internal ticket requests, managing invoicing.
  • Supervise day-to-day box office operations and oversee staff performance and address any issues.
  • Provide guidance and direction to ensure smooth operations for five casual time employees and approximately 65 seasonal employees: guiding daily sales and customer service activities leading up to and during 10-day.
  • Train new staff members on box office procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of ticket sales. Monitor and reconcile box office transactions.
  • Work with the Ticket Service Coordinator to support hiring, scheduling, and evaluating all frontline seasonal staff.
  • Oversee the seasonal expansion of Ticket Office operations from April to July including but not limited to, seasonal accreditation.
  • Provide support to the Ticket Sales Coordinator in tourism package fulfillment and the setup of the satellite will call location.
  • Manage signage for Box holders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

  • This position takes place in an office environment.
  • Involves repetitive arm, hand and finger movement. Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lb., pushing, crouching, bending, kneeling and reaching. Daily stair climbing, occasional exposure to noise, dust, animal dander and changes in temperature.
  • Extended, flexible working hours.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be proactive, optimistic and have the ability to multitask. He/she will have an undergraduate degree or diploma in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited university or college, as well as the following:

  • Three to five years of related experience in a supervisory position.
  • Experience motivating a diverse sales team and facilitating sales training programs in an asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), ticketing software (ie: Ticketmaster, AXS).
  • Experience working in Momentus.
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and event requirements. Handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.
