Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Freight Agent Recruiter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and onboarding talented freight agents to support our logistics operations. This role requires a strong understanding of talent acquisition strategies within the transportation and freight industry, along with excellent communication and relationship management skills. The Freight Agent Recruiter will play a pivotal role in building a high-performing team that aligns with company goals and fosters growth. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective recruiting strategies to attract qualified freight agents using various channels.
- Conduct comprehensive candidate sourcing through HRIS systems, HR sourcing techniques, cold calling, and lead generation activities.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including interviewing, assessing talent, negotiating contracts, and extending employment offers.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create targeted recruitment plans aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain strong relationships with potential candidates through relationship management and talent management practices.
- Ensure compliance with employment & labor law regulations throughout the recruitment process.
- Coordinate employee orientation sessions and assist in employee evaluation processes to ensure smooth onboarding and integration.
- Utilize tools such as Salesforce for applicant tracking, onboarding, and HR management activities.
- Engage in campus recruitment initiatives and succession planning to build a sustainable talent pipeline.
- Stay updated on industry trends related to HR development, training & development programs, and internal recruiting best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical recruiting, executive recruiting, or internal recruiting within the transportation or logistics sectors.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication skills to effectively manage candidate relationships and hiring negotiations.
- Knowledge of employment & labor law to ensure compliant hiring practices.
- Experience with social media management for talent sourcing purposes.
- Ability to conduct research for lead generation and candidate sourcing efforts.
- Proficiency in using sales tools like Salesforce for relationship management and recruitment tracking.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
