Founded in 1996, Families First is a non-profit organization that provides person-centered services for individuals living with developmental disabilities. Our services aim to promote independent living, enhance self-esteem, and cultivate community membership through caring and respectful relationships.
Families First in Bennington is hiring a Full-time Office Manager and Electronic Health Record (EHR) Assistant. Pay is $25/hour. Training for this position will occur in both Brattleboro and Bennington Vermont.
Tasks will include:
- Manage daily office operations and provide a welcoming front desk environment to ensure smooth functioning
- Assist with scheduling, payroll, data entry and tracking requirements.
- Assist with interviewing and hiring paperwork completion as needed.
- Work with Aris Employees and conduct monthly petty cash review & reports
- Provide EHR/online platform training to employees as needed. This includes answering staff billing questions in a timely manner through our helpline.
- Represent the agency positively through incoming/outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, mail, and online billing meetings.
- Manage office supplies: Keep track of inventory, order necessary supplies and stationery.
- Organize and keep all employee files up to date.
- Maintain confidentially and a professional approach.
- Assist with setting up eligible employees for health insurance, workers compensation, and other as needed requests.
- Assist with coordinating meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements. Help resolve conflicts by referring to our agency's existing policies and protocols.
- Potentially set up and close the programming/office space.

Requirements for the role:
- BA or Associates degree in related field like business administration
- More than a year of experience in an administrative, customer service, and/or human resources role.
- Be familiar with Department of Labor and Vermont Laws
- Experience navigating online forms and utilizing Excel, Microsoft platforms, and Google applications. *Experience with Carelogic/qualifacts is recommended but not required.
- Must be collaborative, communicative, and respectful.
- Must demonstrate leadership, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
- Reliable transportation.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
