About the Role:
As a Veterinary Technician at our clinic, you'll be at the heart of what we do—delivering exceptional care to animals and excellent service to their humans. From surgical prep and anesthesia monitoring to diagnostics and patient education, you'll support our veterinarians in all aspects of veterinary medicine.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assisting in exams and surgical procedures while maintaining sterile technique
- Running lab tests (bloodwork, urinalysis, cytology, etc.)
- Handling and restraining animals with compassion and control
- Administering medications, vaccines, fluids, and injections (SQ, IM, IV)
- Monitoring anesthesia and post-op recovery
- Performing dental cleanings and understanding dental terminology
- Educating pet owners on wellness, nutrition, medications, and more
- Maintaining accurate and timely patient records
- Supporting hospitalized and boarding pets with care and kindness
- Responding in emergency situations with confidence and skill (bleeding control, CPR, oxygen therapy, etc.)
What We're Looking For:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), or equivalent experience with strong on-the-job training
- Proficiency in technical skills: IV catheter placement, radiology, in-house labs, surgical prep and monitoring
- Excellent animal handling and restraint techniques
- Calm, professional demeanor—especially under pressure
- Strong communication and client education abilities
- Understanding of veterinary pharmacology and ability to explain medications
- Comfortable working with a variety of species and medical situations
- Fear Free Certification or interest in pursuing it is a plus

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions:
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
- Exposure to loud noises, odors, bodily fluids, and the occasional (adorable) chaos
- Must be comfortable working with unpredictable animals and potential zoonotic diseases
