Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure freshness and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety guidelines
- Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including food handling and storage
- Use knife skills efficiently for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Support meal preparation for various service periods, including catering events when necessary
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of dishes
- Serve food in a professional manner, ensuring presentation meets standards
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation of ingredients
- Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is preferred
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service is required
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Experience with menu planning and fine dining presentation is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Culinary experience or training from culinary schools or programs is advantageous
