Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentist during various procedures including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques are maintained
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Record vital signs, medical history, and update medical documentation
- Manage patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and security of medical information
- Educate patients on dental procedures, post-operative care, and oral health maintenance
- Assist with infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment
- Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist when needed
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure proper sterilization of instruments
Skills
- Proficiency in Dentrix for medical documentation and records management
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Experience with X-ray procedures, and X-ray certification is mandatory requirement
- Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques in a clinical setting
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about treatment plans and oral health care. Must be bilingual in Spanish, this is a mandatory requirement

Pay: $ $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
