Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Motorcycle Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth at our dealership. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for motorcycles, and a proven track record in sales. This role involves managing the sales pipeline, tracking and meeting KPI's, developing strategic marketing initiatives, and providing exceptional customer service. The Motorcycle Sales Manager will play a key role in expanding our market presence and ensuring the achievement of sales targets through effective team management and client engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the sales team to meet or exceed KPI's and sales goals through coaching, training, and performance management
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans targeting motorcycle buyers
- Manage the entire sales pipeline, from prospecting to closing deals, including outbound sales efforts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Utilize CRM software to track sales activities, manage inventory, and analyze sales data for continuous improvement
- Conduct negotiations with clients to maximize upselling opportunities while maintaining positive relationships
- Oversee inventory management and control to ensure product availability aligns with customer demand
- Coordinate marketing initiatives to promote dealership offerings and increase brand visibility
- Provide ongoing sales support to ensure smooth deal closures and customer onboarding
- Maintain professional phone etiquette and communication skills when interacting with clients both in person and via phone or email
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive or motorcycle (powersports) retail sales
- Strong outside sales experience and outbound prospecting
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to upsell effectively while maintaining customer trust
- Proficiency with CRM software for managing customer relationships and tracking sales activities
- Demonstrated success in sales management, including team leadership and performance coaching
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on public speaking and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Knowledge of inventory management, retail math, dealership operations, and inventory control processes
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Familiarity with marketing strategies relevant to automotive or motorcycle dealerships
