Process Manufacturing Engineer - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, Ohio
Responsibilities include:
Assesses manufacturing processes in assigned workcenters/workcells for detail, clarity, and readiness.
Monitors Quality Notifications and works with cognizant manufacturing engineer to gather necessary support or additional required information. Generates next actions to address Quality Notifications.
Evaluates contract and shop supplied tooling requirements for work scopes.
Identifies gaps in supplemental information required for work scopes.
Works with operators to evaluate shift targets and actual performance.
Provides E&TS support to Team of 4, following up on readiness actions.
Reviews and critiques past work scopes to improve and streamline.
Works with manufacturing engineers to standardize instruction across product lines.
Creates supplemental documentation as required, capturing best practices in photo instructions and set up drawings.
Uses root cause analysis techniques to attack reoccurring problems.
Leads continuous improvement projects for assigned workcenters/workcells.
Works with area Operations Managers, Engineering Product Teams, and other support departments to define, restructure, and reorganize workcenters/workcells as needed for existing and new equipment.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
Qualifications include strong communications skills, and interest in working with multiple disciplines in support of product design and manufacture and adept with MRP & Microsoft Office programs.
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
3 years of experience
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DOE issued Security Clearance
Pay: $64,000 - $101,000
The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $64,000 and $101,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
