Job Summary
The Restaurant Manager oversees daily FOH operations and supports the leadership team in delivering high-energy, and CLIVE's hospitality experience. This position is responsible for supervising staff, driving service standards, supporting financial performance, and ensuring that every shift operates smoothly, professionally, and in alignment with CLIVE's brand and guest expectations. This is a
full-time, salaried leadership role

2+ years of restaurant management experience

open availability
, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership

  • Lead FOH operations during service, ensuring pacing, communication, quality, and hospitality meet CLIVE standards.
  • Conduct pre-shifts, communicate menu features, updates, 86'd items, and service priorities.
  • Maintain strong floor presence—supporting servers, bartenders, hosts, and runners throughout the shift.
  • Monitor service flow, ticket times, guest experience, and team performance in real time.
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring accuracy, cleanliness, and readiness across all FOH stations.

Guest Experience & Hospitality

  • Deliver a warm, polished, and guest-centered experience consistent with CLIVE's laid-back luxury feel.
  • Manage high-level guest interactions, escalating concerns, and recovery situations with poise.
  • Support marketing initiatives, events, and VIP/Hotel guest experiences.

People Management & Training

  • Recruit, interview, and onboard FOH staff in collaboration with the GM.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to Server, Bartender, Host, Busser, Barback, and Food Runner teams.
  • Uphold CLIVE service standards, steps of service, and culture through consistent follow-up and accountability.
  • Conduct performance feedback conversations and partner with management on corrective actions when necessary.

Administrative & Compliance Duties

  • Assist with scheduling, labor awareness, and shift coverage planning.
  • Oversee daily cash handling, drops, comps, voids, transfers, and incident documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with Arizona liquor laws, food safety policies, sanitation requirements, and hotel partnership standards.
  • Support inventory counts & ordering as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of restaurant management experience required (upscale or high-volume preferred).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high guest expectations.
  • Proficiency in POS systems (Toast preferred), scheduling tools (7Shifts), and operational platforms (Restaurant365).
  • Current Arizona Food Handlers Card & Liquor Certification (or ability to obtain before start).
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
