We are currently partnered with a Series A FinTech firm that specializes in developing credit / banking products for underserved communites globally in search for a Senior / Staff Engineer based out of the Bay Area to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop complex backend systems spanning data models, APIs, and distributed components
• Own technical decisions from prototype to production, including scalability, performance, and fault tolerance
• Partner with product and leadership to translate business goals into robust, maintainable architecture
• Identify and manage tradeoffs in design decisions, balancing performance, reliability, and developer experience
• Lead code reviews, mentor teammates, and help set best practices for engineering quality

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of professional software development experience across multiple languages (e.g. Go, Rust, Elixir, Python, TypeScript, etc.)
• Strong background in system design, architecture, and building reliable APIs
• Experience designing and maintaining complex, production-grade distributed systems
• Deep understanding of system performance, lifecycle management, and failure modes
• Curiosity and pragmatism when exploring new technologies — you enjoy evaluating tradeoffs and applying the right tool for the job
• Prior startup experience or comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
