Assistant Project Manager

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Manager Assistant/Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate project cost estimates and effective management assistance throughout the project lifecycle to a team of project managers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes.
• Analyze blueprints, schematics, and project manuals to determine project requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules using tools such as MS Project.
• Utilize estimating tools such as On Screen for take offs.
• Utilize various software platforms for project documentation and communication.
• Prepare submittals and communicate with subcontractors regarding same.
• Conduct site visits to gather information on existing conditions.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the estimating process.
• Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid documents.

Requirements

• Experience in construction estimating and project management preferred.
• Knowledge of scheduling software helpful.
• Strong understanding of construction principles, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost estimation.
• Experience in project scheduling and coordination within a construction environment.
• Familiarity with contracts and legal aspects of construction projects is preferred.
• Previous experience on construction sites is advantageous.
• Must pass background check, MVR check and pre-employment drug test.
