A Houston corporation is seeking a
Food Services Manager
to lead and elevate the daily hospitality experience for internal teams and visiting guests. This role oversees all food service logistics for onsite meetings and special events, manages a small service team, and ensures that every detail—from vendor coordination to inventory management—is executed seamlessly.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the company's food, beverage, and meeting support services.
- Supervise scheduling, task assignments, performance expectations, and ongoing training for food service staff.
- Serve as the primary contact for catering vendors—placing orders, negotiating pricing, tracking deliveries, and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Oversee the setup, presentation, cleanliness, and teardown of food and beverage arrangements for meetings and company events.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels for all kitchens, break areas, and conference rooms; ensure supplies and equipment are clean, functional, and fully stocked.
- Monitor and enforce food safety, sanitation standards, and internal compliance procedures (HACCP knowledge a plus).
- Handle escalated service concerns and troubleshoot issues related to quality, timing, or customer satisfaction.
- Review billing and reconcile expenses to ensure accurate cost allocation and adherence to budget guidelines.
- Support menu planning and sourcing decisions based on meeting schedules, guest needs, and operational requirements.
- Participate in hands-on support during busy periods, assisting with service, setup, or cleanup as needed.
- Continuously assess processes to enhance service efficiency, team productivity, and overall guest experience.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple operational priorities.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfort working independently and making decisions in a fast-moving environment.
- Professional, courteous, and service-oriented approach when working with employees, executives, vendors, and guests.
- Ability to resolve staff concerns and customer issues with professionalism and tact.
- Working knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and basic food service operations (preferred).
- Experience coordinating or managing food service, catering, or hospitality functions (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office for scheduling, billing, and communication tasks.
- High school diploma or GED required; valid Texas driver's license required.
Physical & Schedule Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the building for extended periods.
- Able to lift/push up to 50 lbs (e.g., supply carts, deliveries).
- Ability to wash dishes or assist with manual cleaning when needed.
- Flexible schedule that may include early mornings or occasional evenings based on meeting needs.
- Must wear slip-resistant, closed-toe shoes and comply with food service appearance standards.
