Deli Associate

As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for preparing and serving fresh and high-quality food products to our customers. Duties:

• Prepare and serve a variety of fresh and high-quality food products, including meats, cheeses, and sandwiches.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and receiving supplies.
• Operate a point-of-sale system to handle customer transactions and manage cash and credit sales.
• Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers and offering personalized recommendations.
• Upsell and promote our products and services to increase sales and revenue.
• Work effectively as part of a team to achieve our goals and maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the store.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and surfaces as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience in the food industry, preferably in a deli or restaurant setting.
• Familiarity with food safety and handling practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of energy and focus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in food safety or handling is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
• Experience with Aloha POS and other point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to sanitize and maintain a clean work environment.
• Experience in the restaurant industry and with customer service.
• Strong skills in upselling and promoting products and services.
• Familiarity with food safety and handling practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $17.00 per hour
