Dietary Aide/Baker

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide/Baker to join our team in providing exceptional meal services within a healthcare or assisted living environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, food safety, and customer service, with a strong focus on supporting residents' nutritional needs. This role involves assisting with meal planning, baking, and ensuring sanitation standards are maintained to promote a safe and welcoming dining experience for all residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and baked goods according to dietary guidelines and menu plans
• Assist with food production, including cooking, baking, and portioning meals
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations
• Set up dining areas, bussing tables, and maintaining a clean eating environment
• Support dietary department operations by assisting with inventory management and food storage
• Follow all safety protocols related to food preparation and sanitation standards
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and visitors during meal times
• Assist with meal delivery within the facility as needed
• Support residents' dietary needs by accommodating special diets or restrictions

Skills

• Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry preferred
• Strong background in food preparation, serving, and food safety practices
• Knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen sanitation procedures
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Good communication skills for interacting with residents and staff
• Prior dietary aide or food handling experience is advantageous
• Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas
• Familiarity with meal preparation for special diets or dietary restrictions is a plus
