Job Overview:

This position supervises the staff and team in our Self-Directed Services Department. This is a statewide position that will support billing and payroll functions within our Self-Directed Services Department. That work can be done in office, remote and hybrid. We would like to represent many communities with this role but the ideal candidate should reside in Wisconsin. Some training will be required in-person for up to the first 90 days. Training sessions may be hosted in Eau Claire, WI, virtually from anywhere in the state of Wisconsin, or in-person in the specific communities. Travel is required for this position.

With this success, UCP Intake and our Self-Directed Services Program is looking for others to join us as we rapidly grow and expand our services.

Job description:

We are looking for a full-time Self-Directed Services Supervisor with excellent people skills to support our Intake, Billing and Payroll Specialists with incoming timecards, billing, paperwork, processing documents, and completing reviews. As an Supervisor, your responsibilities involve managing the Payroll and Billings Staff, continuous staff training, and be the main point of contact for department-specific questions and processes.

To be successful as an Supervisor you should have excellent listening and organizational skills, be detail-oriented and have demonstrated leadership. An outstanding Supervisor should be an excellent communicator and knowledgeable about customer relations.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Assist Specialists with paperwork and questions
  • Complete all reviews and reports in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assisting Specialists with correct processes and standards
  • Ensure member and client satisfaction through good customer relations
  • Attend management meetings as necessary
  • Identify training and department needs
  • Manage the Department
  • Manage electronic communication
  • Use several databases simultaneously

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of Supervisor or Payroll/Billing Specialist experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer and phone skills.
  • Good communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or Human Resources related field.
  • Prior work experience in human services, social work, or related field.
  • Knowledge and experience with Self-Directed Services in either the Children's Wavier or Family Care or IRIS programs.
  • Knowledge and experience as a Human Resources On-boarding.
  • Knowledge and experience with payroll and billing.

Maintain efficient work methods and production goals

  • Maintain an updated calendar including work schedule, meetings, deadlines, and events.
  • Effectively communicate ideas and department needs using clear verbal and written communication.
  • Ensure safe work practices and procedures.
