HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

Your primary mission is to sign construction contracts. You'll achieve this by working with referral sources in the community, such as real estate professionals, brokers and other referral sources, as well as expanding your own network, to get introductions to business owners who need more space. Whether it's new construction, renovations, or building additions, your goal is to help identify those needs and guide potential clients towards signing with us.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources in the community.
  • Proactively seek introductions to business owners who may need expanded or improved facilities.
  • Represent the company at networking events, industry functions, and community gatherings to generate leads.
  • Become a trusted advisor by understanding client needs and aligning them with our construction solutions.

Pipeline & Lead Generation

  • Identify and qualify new leads through strategic outreach and community engagement.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of potential clients using our CRM system
  • Track outreach efforts, follow-ups and progress towards signed contracts

Proposal & Pursuit Oversight

  • Support the pursuit process by assisting with RFP/RFQ responses, scope walks, interviews, and presentations.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing contracts, gaining exposure to negotiation and approval processes.
  • Gain exposure to contract review and approval processes to understand how deals get closed.

Work Environment/Travel

The responsibilities of this position involve physical activities including standing, lifting (up to 50 pounds unassisted), bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and twisting. This position requires local travel to meet with referral sources, events and client meetings.

HERE'S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Hungry to learn, highly motivated, and ready to dive into the business
  • B.S. degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Real Estate, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Willingness to take initiative and grow through hands-on experience and mentorship.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to attend different events, some being after normal working hours.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, with no more than two moving violations or a record of a DUI within the past 7 years.
