Daycare Van Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently to their destinations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and professionalism, ensuring that all passengers have a pleasant experience during their journey.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a van, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting students with boarding and disembarking, as well as addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle, performing routine inspections and reporting any issues.
• Assist with lifting or equipment as needed during pickups and drop-offs.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, including student role counts and mileage logs.
• Collaborate with Director to optimize routes and schedules for timely arrivals.
• Follow safety protocols, including the use of seat belts and child safety seats when necessary.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for passengers.
• Experience in commercial driving or delivery driving is preferred.
• Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including vans, shuttles, or limousines.
• Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques to assist passengers effectively.
• Previous experience in paratransit or school bus driving is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with passengers and team members.
• A valid driver's license Class E with a clean driving record is essential.
