Location: Whittier, CA 90601

Job type: In-person, 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday

Salary range: $75K - $105K, based on experience

A leading manufacturer of HVAC Coils, specializing in Design and Manufacturing of Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers is currently looking for an experienced Application / Design Engineer to join our team in Whittier, CA.

The Application Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, specification, and customization of HVAC Coils to meet specific client requirements. You will collaborate closely with the sales team, production personnel, and customers to provide technical support along with direction and guidance to ensure that all products meet the customer's requirements and are manufactured with highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

· Design and Development of HVAC/R coils (Condensers, Evaporators, Water Coils) based on project requirements and specifications.

· Preparation of detailed technical drawings and documentation using CAD software

· Interface with customers and sales teams to gather necessary details, and specifications which can then be translated into Application requirements.

· Generate performance estimates using internal software modules and design tools

· Collaborate with production personnel and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance to Nationally accepted Standards, such AHRI, UL, etc.

· Support product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Troubleshoot and resolve design, fabrication, and application issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of a bachelor's degree (B.S.) in mechanical engineering from a Nationally Accredited University

· Minimum of 3-5 years of previous Experience in design and development of Air Conditioning /Refrigeration Coils such as Condensers, Evaporators, Water Coils, etc.

· Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to sheet metal, design/ fabrication, and air cooled heat exchangers. Previous experience in a metal fabrication facility helpful

· Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks design Software as well as Standard Microsoft Office tools

· Strong understanding of HVAC components and basic coil manufacturing processes.

· Excellent communication, critical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $75, $105,000.00 per year
