Meat Cutter

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production, food handling, and meat cutting, with a strong focus on food safety and customer service. This role involves preparing high-quality cuts of meat, ensuring proper packaging, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The Meat Cutter plays a vital role in delivering exceptional products to our customers while adhering to all safety and hygiene standards.

Duties

• Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specified standards and customer requests
• Ensure all meat products are handled safely and stored properly to maintain freshness and quality
• Package meat products efficiently for retail or wholesale distribution
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
• Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when required
• Follow all food safety protocols during food preparation and handling processes
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and ensure smooth workflow

Requirements

• Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or meat cutting within the food industry or restaurant environment
• Strong knife skills and expertise in meat cutting techniques
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
• Experience with packaging food products efficiently and hygienically
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
• Kitchen or culinary experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Prior experience in customer service is a plus
• Ability to follow safety guidelines consistently and work effectively as part of a team

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
