Care Coordinator

Urology Associates - Hendersonville / Gallatin, TN has an immediate opening for a Care Coordinator to join their dynamic Care Team

The Care Coordinator (a non-exempt position) is responsible for the non-clinical functions of the Care Team, working in conjunction with the Provider and the clinical assistant to provide an efficient and high quality care experience for the patient.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Schedules all office appointments.
• Schedules all surgeries.
• Obtains and inputs patient demographics and basic payer information into computer system; updates information as necessary when booking appointments.
• Obtains referrals & authorizations for surgeries and office-based procedures as necessary.
• Scans into EHR patient paperwork, including lab, CT, X-ray and pathology results, correspondence, outside records and other documents as necessary.
• Handles telephone calls for physician; takes messages as necessary, and prioritizes urgent calls appropriately.
• Handles telephone calls for physician and M.A. when in clinic; takes messages as necessary, and prioritizes urgent calls appropriately.
• Sorts-routes-electronically files incoming correspondence and patient records.
• Acts as liaison for physician's primary referrers.

Experience/Skills:

• Minimum one year of experience in surgery scheduling in a medical practice or hospital setting.

Education:

• High School Diploma
