Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy of stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory, and recommend adjustments.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures to minimize loss and damage.
- Collaborate with warehouse, receiving, and shipping departments to ensure seamless inventory flow.
- Track and report on key inventory metrics, such as accuracy, turnover, and shrinkage.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in the warehouse.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed, following proper safety protocols.
- Understand and support the overall logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate to heavy Lifting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
