We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our busy distribution center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, a strong understanding of logistics operations, and a commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, and maintaining inventory accuracy. You will play a crucial role in optimizing warehouse processes, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities will include scheduling, training, performance management, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and safety regulations. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance.
- Ensure efficient receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies.
- Implement and enforce company policies, including those related to Safety and PPE usage.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety guidelines.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs within the Logistics framework.
- Monitor and manage productivity, aiming to meet or exceed operational targets.
- Ensure proper Loading and Unloading procedures are followed.
- Handle employee issues and conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and proficiently, ensuring adherence to weight limits and Lifting guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory role is required.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and Logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- A commitment to upholding strict Safety standards and ensuring proper use of PPE.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that involve frequent Lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
