We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders, packaging them securely for shipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This is a crucial position that directly impacts customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists.
- Verify item accuracy and quantities before packaging.
- Package items securely and efficiently, using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages with shipping information accurately.
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks to move inventory.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sweeping, dusting, and tidying assigned areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics setting.
