Join our logistics team in San Jose, California as an Order Picker! This role is essential for ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for accurately picking products from warehouse locations based on customer orders, using an RF scanner to guide your selections. This position requires a sharp eye for detail, speed, and accuracy. Your primary responsibilities will include locating items, verifying quantities and product codes, and staging picked items for the packing department. You'll navigate the warehouse effectively and maintain a productive pace. Safety is our top priority; you must strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and practice safe lifting techniques. This role involves significant walking and standing, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. We are looking for dedicated individuals who are eager to contribute to a fast-paced, growing logistics operation and maintain high standards of performance.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using an RF scanner and pick lists.
- Locate items in the warehouse, ensuring correct product and quantity.
- Verify item numbers and descriptions against order requirements.
- Stage picked items accurately for the packing and shipping process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including proper lifting and the use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to a supervisor immediately.
- Meet or exceed established picking productivity standards.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse picking role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using RF scanning technology.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels accurately.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, and lift for extended periods.
- Capability of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control principles.
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
