We are seeking a motivated Distribution Center Associate to contribute to our logistics operations in Washington, D.C. This role is essential for the smooth functioning of our warehouse, encompassing a variety of tasks related to material handling, order fulfillment, and inventory management. You will be responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders, packing and preparing goods for shipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, hardworking, and possess a strong commitment to teamwork and efficiency. Experience in a warehouse or distribution setting is beneficial. We prioritize safety above all else and provide comprehensive training on safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE. This position requires the ability to perform tasks involving significant lifting and physical exertion; therefore, a solid understanding of safe lifting techniques is crucial. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate warehouse equipment as needed (e.g., pallet jacks).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE usage.
- Perform tasks involving frequent lifting and material handling with correct techniques.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Capability for frequent lifting and moving of heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following instructions.
