We are looking for enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our fast-paced warehouse in Richmond, Virginia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders by picking items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. Responsibilities:
- Receive picking orders accurately from the system or supervisor.
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves and storage areas.
- Verify the item, quantity, and quality of picked goods.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers, using correct dunnage and labeling.
- Ensure all orders are accurately assembled and ready for shipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and scanners, safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damages encountered during the picking/packing process.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed productivity targets while maintaining high accuracy standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse setting is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Willingness to follow instructions and safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
