We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our Baltimore, Maryland facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and efficient operation of our warehouse equipment, as well as assisting with various warehouse duties to support our logistics flow. Your technical aptitude and proactive approach to problem-solving will be crucial. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, a commitment to safety, and the ability to perform both technical and manual tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks).
- Inspect equipment for safety issues and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Support inventory management by organizing stock and ensuring accurate placement.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Ensure all operations adhere to safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in troubleshooting operational issues within the warehouse logistics.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or maintenance role.
- Experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts and warehouse machinery.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be detail-oriented and committed to quality work.
