We are hiring a Material Handler for our St. Louis, Missouri facility. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to load, unload, stage, and transport goods. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety are crucial for this role. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar capacity, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and a proactive approach to maintaining an organized and secure work environment. You will be an essential part of our logistics operations, ensuring the timely flow of products and raw materials. We prioritize a secure and productive workplace, mandating the consistent use of PPE and strict adherence to all Safety procedures. The role involves significant physical activity, including considerable Lifting and operating heavy machinery. A solid grasp of warehouse Logistics principles is a key asset.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move and stage materials to designated areas.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Perform pre-operation checks on equipment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Proven experience as a material handler or forklift operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Good physical condition and dexterity.
