We are seeking a proactive and organized Warehouse Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this key role, you will oversee the day-to-day coordination of warehouse activities, ensuring efficient operations from receiving to shipping. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory, coordinating staff schedules, optimizing warehouse layout, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, leadership potential, and a thorough understanding of warehouse management principles. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control is essential. You will play a vital role in streamlining our logistics processes and enhancing overall productivity. We are committed to providing a safe working environment and mandate the use of appropriate PPE. This position requires excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. You will work closely with management, warehouse staff, and potentially external vendors to ensure smooth operations. The role involves some physical activity, including lifting and moving materials, so familiarity with proper lifting techniques is important. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and workflows.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and training.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Maintain accurate warehouse records and documentation.
- Optimize space utilization within the warehouse.
- Liaise with suppliers and transport companies to coordinate inbound and outbound logistics.
- Address and resolve operational issues and discrepancies promptly.
- Foster a culture of safety and efficiency among the warehouse team.
- Ensure proper lifting practices are followed by all staff.
